Community Comes Together to Celebrate Juhannus at Finnish-American Village Once More
The Midnight Sun Festival, in partnership with St. Andrew's Lutheran Church and Finnish-American Village, was delighted to once again celebrate the annual Juhannus (Midsummer) Festival at Annan Maja, bringing together more than 120 attendees for an evening of Finnish tradition, fun, and summer joy.
Guests enjoyed delicious offerings from the Chi-Dogs Mobile Food Cart and Finnish pancakes from the volunteers from St. Andrew’s, gathered around the traditional Juhannus bonfire, and spent meaningful time reconnecting with friends, neighbors, and members of the community. The event celebrates one of Finland's most cherished traditions while honoring the rich Finnish heritage that continues to thrive in South Florida.
"We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended and helped make this year's celebration such a success," said MSF President Tiina Rogers. "Juhannus is about community, friendship, and celebrating the joy of summer, and it was wonderful to see so many familiar and new faces come together."
The Midnight Sun Festival, St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, and Finnish-American Village thank the volunteers and Chi-Dogs Mobile Food Cart for helping create another memorable event. Organizers look forward to continuing this beloved tradition for years to come and welcoming the community back for future celebrations.
