Yhteisömme - Our Community

Since the inception of the Finnish American Village, many from the local Finnish community worked for countless hours as volunteers, helping serve the residents of the Rest Home.  Without these volunteers, the Finnish-American Village would not be where it is today.  These loving volunteers are a big part of our history and community and we wish to thank them for their years of service and dedication. This page contains resources that we hope will benefit not only our Finnish community members but welcome everyone from our surrounding community to the Finnish-American Village.

Founded alongside the Finnish-American Village, Annan Maja was established as a welcoming gathering place for the community in South Florida. For more than 40 years, it has served as a symbol of Finnish heritage and hospitality, hosting meetings, celebrations, cultural events, and community gatherings. With its spacious layout, unique antiques, modern AV technology, and inviting atmosphere, Annan Maja is an ideal venue for large meetings, banquets, receptions, and special events, providing a unique setting that brings people together.
