Since the inception of the Finnish American Village, many from the local Finnish community worked for countless hours as volunteers helping serve the residents of the Rest Home.  Without these volunteers, the Finnish-American Village would not be where it is today.  These loving volunteers are a big part of our history and community and we wish to thank them for their years of service and dedication. This page contains resources that we hope will benefit not only our Finnish community members but welcome everyone from our surrounding community to Finnish American Village.

Annan Maja Heritage Hall

Founded along with the Finnish American Village, Annan Maja was created to provide a meeting place for Finns in South Florida.  Annan Maja is representative of Finland and has been used for meetings, parties and other events for over 40 years.   

  • Annan Maja Heritage Hall is perfect for large celebrations — like wedding receptions, corporate holiday parties, and large birthday bashes. The Hall comes equipped with tables and chairs, a stage and sound equipment, and a fully-stocked commercial kitchen.

  • Annan Maja’s beautiful grounds are available for weddings, work retreats and meetings, family reunions, and other private events.

  • We’re happy to give you an in-person tour of the grounds if you’re interested in hosting an event at Annan Maja.
