My name is Hanna McColough and as the administrator for both facilities, it's my pleasure to introduce our "Finnish Home" - how we are known locally - to you.

We are here to serve you and your loved ones and make your new home enjoyable. We provide a lovely environment and quality services to live the senior years in Florida style and care free.

Finnish-American Rest Home, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization with a Finnish Board of Directors.
It provides continuous care from independent living to skilled nursing care. The company was founded in 1970 by eleven Finnish American organizations to serve mainly the aging population of Finnish heritage. It started as an assisted living facility and its first residents moved into the facility in 1973. Later on, the need for more advanced care was imminent and preparations for building a skilled nursing facility were started.

Finnish-American Rest Home is a 150 bed Assisted Living Facility. It serves the senior members of the Finnish community in Florida and around the United States. One of the residency requirements in our private ALF is a lifetime membership. Funds for starting and functioning of the operations were raised by Finnish community volunteers and even today the input of volunteers is remarkable not only financially but also culturally.

American-Finnish Nursing Home is a 60 bed Skilled Nursing Facility. It was founded in 1980 to provide skilled nursing care for Finnish community members as well as other nationalities.

Residents’ satisfaction, safety and health are important to us. Our bi-lingual employees, many of whom have worked for us already since the 1980s are dedicated to the quality of care and the special needs of our seniors.

We are located in the Lake Worth area on the sunny east coast of South Florida. The lovely weather year around is ideal for the elderly to enjoy the active Florida living.
